Our cozy, individually managed Inn "Somer Place Bed & Breakfast" is located at the foot of the Helderberg Nature Reserve in the quiet, safe neighborhood of Somerset West, close to the lively metropolis of Cape Town (30 min) and the Cape Town International Airport (25 min). Somer Place is the ideal point of departure for excursions into the Cape Area, Overberg and Winelands: Stellenbosch (20 min), Paarl, Franshoek (both at 45 min) and Hermanus (70 min).
Right around the corner, as it were, you will find one of the loveliest wineries in South Africa, together with ideally situated golf courses such as, for instance, Erinvale, which is among the most beautiful in the region. Right nearby, as are the magnificent beaches of False Bay, as called "Golden Mile," which can be reached in only 10 minutes by car.
All of our 5 spacious double rooms and 1 family room are equipped with a modern bathroom with shower as well as TV, refrigerator, telephone, WiFi and a small tea-/coffee kitchen. In the winter, individual heating maintains a pleasant temperature. The rooms open on the pool area or the private garden.
We are pleased to assist you with the planning and organization of your vacation activities. Thus we arrange for you, for example, the airport shuttle, or we assist you with booking and reservations for day trips, rental cars, restaurants, tee-off times, safaris, etc. We also offer you special guided tours such as winery and township tours, and other interesting day trips so that you can experience the charmed of South Africa's magic. At Somer Place B&B both tourists and business travelers find just the quiet and relaxation that they are looking for! We can help you in English, German, Polish and little bit in Afrikaans and Russian.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
